Who I am

Picot Social is run by me, Josh Picot, a sole trader based in Hull. I'm responsible for the personal information described here. You can reach me at picotsocial@gmail.com or 07852 644624.

What I collect

When you ask for a free chat I collect your name, business name, phone number, what your business does, your website if you give it, and the numbers you put into the calculator if you used it. My hosting provider also processes basic technical information such as your IP address to run and protect the site.

Why I use it

To do your audit, get back to you about it and, if you go ahead, to quote for and do the work. My lawful basis is my legitimate interest in replying to people who ask for an audit, and taking steps at your request before we agree a contract.

Who I share it with

I use a few trusted providers who process information for me: my website and database hosting provider, Resend (to send me a notification when you ask for an audit) and Cookiebot (to manage cookie consent). Fonts on this site are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address. I never sell your information. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK, where appropriate safeguards apply.

Cookies

You can change your cookie choices any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

How long I keep it

Up to 12 months after we last spoke, unless you become a client, in which case I keep it with my business records for as long as the law requires.

Client work

When I build or run websites and automations for clients, I sometimes handle their customers' information on their behalf. That's covered by a written agreement with each client, and by that client's own privacy policy.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to how I use it. Just email picotsocial@gmail.com. If you're not happy with how I've handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
